Bob has joined the Dowling & Neylan team at the Sunshine Beach Office after an extensive career in senior government and consulting roles at the national and international level.
He attained the rank of Assistant Commissioner in the Victoria Police and had roles leading the Road Policing function and a geographical region of Victoria (the North-East). This was followed by a period as the Commissioner for Corrections Victoria. He has also been fortunate enough to be appointed as Team Leader on two Australian Aid programs in the Fiji Islands and Indonesia. These experiences have given him a sound understanding of the importance of building quality relationships and working with high performing teams.
Bob has always had a keen interest in real estate as a buyer, seller and investor. It was this interest, which was the catalyst to become actively involved in the real estate business, and use his varied life experience, and skills in assisting people achieve their property dream.
At Dowling & Neylan, Bob is committed to providing a professional service; based on integrity, accountability, and trust with a passion to deliver the best outcome for the client.
In his personal life, Bob enjoys driving his 1970 MGB car, cycling, travelling and flying recreational aircraft.
Bob would welcome a call or personal chat to discuss any of your property needs.
My professional and personal relationship with Bob Hastings commenced when he was the Assistant Commissioner (Traffic) in the Victoria Police. At that time, Bob was a lead change agent in operationalising significant road safety initiatives which had a dramatic impact on lowering serious injuries and deaths on Victoria's roads. For example, the implementation of the world's first saliva based Random Roadside Drug Testing Regime. Bob is highly regarded by those who know him for his integrity, reliability, resilience and a capacity to build strong relationships. He is an excellent leader and manager.David Galbally AM QC
