While sales turnover was slightly down there have been some record sales. A La Mer apartment on the beachfront sold in excess of $6 million and a Sunshine Beach beachfront home in Arakoon Crescent sold in the $7 million range.
There are instances where properties have sold for less than the owners paid for them. An apartment in Fairshore is rumoured to be under contract for $2.1 million. The owners paid $2.6 million for it back in late 2007.
The middle market continues to sell well if priced sharply. The bottom end of this price range is the most active.
The waterfront market out at Noosa Waters is now making a comeback after a lengthy slow period. Our office has secured three sales out there this month at $2 million & $2.6 million for houses and $1.5 million for land.
This type of investment offers great buying with good long term potential.
We have some really high standard property coming through this Spring, it's a great time to purchase a prime location while the buying is good.
